The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 3.97% in January 2022 when compared with December 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 23.06% share in the company’s total hiring activity in January 2022, and recorded a 0.87% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Zalando IT hiring in January 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Zalando, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 84.03% in January 2022, and a 66.67% rise over December 2022, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 7.56% in January 2022, and registered growth of 800%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 6.72% in January 2022, a 33.33% rise from December 2022.
Europe drives IT hiring at Zalando
Europe emerged as the leading region in the global retail IT hiring activity in January 2022 with a 100% share, which marked a 70% rise over the previous month.
Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s retail industry IT hiring activity with an 88.24% share in January 2022, a 66.67% growth over December 2022. Finland featured next with a 9.24% share, up 1000% over the previous month. Ireland recorded a 2.52% share, a decline of 25% compared with December 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead Zalando IT hiring activity in January 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 64.71%, up by 37.5% from December 2022. Entry Level positions with a 21.01% share, a growth of 316.67% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 14.29% share, up 88.89% over December 2022.
