Germany-based company Zalando’s IT hiring rose 7.9% in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 5.6% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 20.79% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2021, and recorded a 0.11% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Zalando IT hiring in September 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Zalando, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 82.98% in September 2021, and a 16.42% rise over August 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 9.57% in September 2021, and registered growth of 50%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 4.26% in September 2021, a 20% drop from August 2021.

Europe drives IT hiring at Zalando

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global retail IT hiring activity in September 2021 with a 100% share, which marked an 18.99% rise over the previous month.

Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s retail industry IT hiring activity with an 89.36% share in September 2021, a 20% growth over August 2021. Finland featured next with a 3.19% share, down 25% over the previous month.

Junior Level jobs lead Zalando IT hiring activity in September 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.15%, up by 14.04% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 14.89% share, a growth of 16.67% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 14.89% share, up 40% over August 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.06%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
