Sales and Related Occupations drive retail industry hiring activity

Of the industry's total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Sales and Related Occupations, which accounted for 14% of the total new job postings in Q4 2023 and were down by 42% year-on-year. Second highest were Management Occupations, which accounted for 7% and drop by 40% year-on-year, and third highest were Office and Administrative Support Occupations, which were 236% of the new job postings and 24% lower year-on-year.

Top five companies in retail industry accounted for 71% of hiring activity

The highest number of jobs were posted by Casino Guichard-Perrachon with 2,024, followed by Fnac Darty SA with 1,559, while the highest increase was at Metro at 13%.
