Sporting goods and outdoor recreation retailer Academy Sports + Outdoors has opened its first store in the Peoria area at 7611 North Grand Prairie Dr in the US.

Spanning over 60,000ft², the new store features a collection of athletic and casual shoes, sports and outdoor equipment and clothing.

Some brands available at the store include adidas, Carhartt, CAT, Columbia, Nike, The North Face, Traeger Wrangle, Under Armour and YETI.

In addition, the new store features outdoor apparel and equipment, women’s and men’s apparel, workout attire, fishing equipment, hunting optics and accessories and water gear.

The equipment is from the Academy’s exclusive brands such as BCG, Freely, H2OX, Magellan Outdoors, Mosaic, O’Rageous, Redfield, and ROW.

The Peoria location is Academy’s second store opening in 2023 and is in line with its goal to open 13 – 15 stores this year.
