Supermarket chain Aldi is continuing to expand its presence across the UK and has revealed the locations of 35 new stores that will open during 2024.

The expansion brings the retailer’s low prices to more UK customers. It opened its 1,000th UK store in Woking in 2023.

Aldi will launch new stores in Preston and Derby in March 2024 and further stores in Derbyshire, Buckinghamshire and Bristol later in the year.

The expansion is in line with the company’s long-term target of 1,500 stores in the UK. In 2024 it will invest £550m to increase its UK footprint.

The new stores will create around 40 new jobs each.

Aldi UK national real estate managing director Jonathan Neale said: “After attracting more new customers than any other supermarket in the last 12 months, we’re more determined than ever to expand our presence across the country.
