Amazon has introduced a new service called Key for Garage to deliver groceries to customers’ garage using the Key Smart Garage Kit in the US.

The service is currently available to eligible Amazon Prime members, who need to select ‘In-Garage delivery’ at check out on Amazon.com while placing their orders.

Customers can use the Key by Amazon app to check the status of their garage door as well as to open or close it.

The online retailer has created the new service integrating its Key by Amazon with myQ-connected technology from access solutions and products maker Chamberlain Group.

Customers having myQ-connected garage door opener need to connect their myQ accounts with Amazon in the Key by Amazon app to use the service.

In addition, the company is offering two Key Smart Garage Kits. The myQ Smart Garage Hub lets customers add connectivity to their existing garage door openers.

Furthermore, the company is allowing customers to add an Amazon Cloud Cam (Key Edition) to any door opener in order to monitor their garage any time through the livestream or view clips of entries, including deliveries.
