Home decor retail chain At Home Group has announced plans to expand its presence with the opening of four new stores in the US this month.

The move is expected to expand the company’s store network to 209 locations across 39 states by the end of this month.

At Home will open two of the four planned stores, including one at 13180 S Cicero Avenue in Crestwood, Illinois, and the other at 25813 US Hwy 19 North in Clearwater, Florida.

Of the remaining two stores, one will be opened at 6845 S 27th Street in Lincoln, Nebraska, and the other at 101 N Barrington Road in Schaumburg, Illinois, later this month.

In a statement, the company said: “Just in time to refresh homes for fall and decorate for Halloween and Thanksgiving, At Home’s new store locations will host grand opening events, with gift card giveaways for the first 50 visitors who sign up for the At Home Insider Perks rewards programme.”

At Home offers more than 50,000 home décor styles, including furniture, rugs, wall art, housewares, tabletop, patio and holiday décor across its stores.

In May, reports emerged that the American department store chain Kohl’s has been in talks with At Home Group to explore an acquisition deal.

This March, the home décor chain promoted its chief operating officer Peter Corsa to the role of president while he continues to serve in his current role.

Corsa has been working in his role as a chief operating officer since December 2016, prior to which, he worked as chief stores officer of the company.

The retailer also opened 11 new stores and reported a 19.6% increase in net sales to $306.3m during the first quarter of fiscal 2020.
