Membership warehouse clubs operator BJ’s Wholesale Club has made shopping more convenient for its members by introducing contactless, curbside pickup at all locations. 

As part of this move, members can order from thousands of items on BJs.com or on the BJ’s app and have the items delivered right to their car.

To offer contactless service, the company employed a team member who will load the items into the vehicle. 

Club operations officer executive vice-president Jeff Desroches said: “It’s more important than ever to provide our members with a variety of convenient options to shop the club.  

“Our new, contactless curbside pickup service is another example of how we’re focused on getting members the products they want; however they want.”

The company’s buy online, pick up in-club service is currently available in select clubs and could be expanded at all locations by late October. 

In July, BJ’s Wholesale Club announced plans to open two club locations in New York. 

Located in Long Island City and Newburgh, the two clubs will open in early 2021.  

The company also plans to open a BJ’s Gas location in Newburgh.
