Regional convenience store products distributor C-Store Master has commenced construction of its new robotic distribution warehouse in Huntsville, US.
The company will be hiring 40 people in the next few months as part of this project, expected to open in the first quarter of next year.
The new 120,000ft2 automated warehouse is being built with an investment of $12m.
C-Store Master chief operating officer Sharan Kalva said: “Huntsville is the perfect place for our work because of its booming business environment and central location to the entire Southeast.
“We believe this cutting-edge warehouse paired with our innovative software will continue to set us apart from our competitors.”
To incorporate three robot technologies in the new warehouse, the retailer collaborated with global technology company Geek+.

Based in Huntsville, Alabama, C-Store Master specialises in the tobacco and beverage categories, servicing more than 2,000 independent c-stores and over 4,000 chain stores throughout the Southeast, including more than 3,000 Circle K locations.
The company serves retailers with over 97% of products in-stock availability.
