British co-operative group Co-op has announced the opening of its latest store in Bailiff Bridge, West Yorkshire, UK.
The new 3,000ft² convenience store, situated in Wyke Old Lane, has created 16 jobs for local communities.
The store features an in-store bakery and a Costa Coffee Express machine, and offers fresh, healthy produce and everyday essentials.
The Bailiff Bridge Co-op is also providing online grocery delivery service through partnerships with Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats.
The store also provides parcel collection services via InPost Locker and DPD, and has an ATM for cash access and customer car parking for added convenience.
As part of Co-op’s commitment to support UK agriculture, all its fresh and frozen meat and poultry, including those in its own-brand ready meals and sandwiches, are sourced entirely from British farmers and suppliers.

Store manager Lewis Robinson said: “The whole team is delighted to have the opportunity to launch Co-op’s newest store. It looks fantastic, and we are really looking forward to welcoming our members and customers into their Co-op.
“Our aim is to operate at the heart of local life, and we have worked to develop the range, choice and added services to create a compelling offer to serve and support our community, conveniently.
“Co-op also has a focus on delivering value, with member price savings across a wide range of everyday essentials so that the people who own our business, our member-owners, benefit every time they shop.”
Co-op has also re-opened its store in Queen’s Road, Bournemouth following an extensive eight-week refurbishment.
This 2,300ft² store now features a new look and supports fourteen local jobs.
In September 2024, Co-op announced the launch of a 24-hour online grocery delivery service in the UK.
