Co-op Marleigh store manager Stephen Bastiani stated: “We have had a great response – the team is delighted to have launched Co-op’s newest store. We aim to operate at the heart of local life, and we’ve worked to develop the range, choice and added services to create a compelling offer to serve and support our community, conveniently.”

The retailer’s new store in Northamptonshire is located in the Radstone Fields community of Brackley.

In addition to fresh products, the 2,500ft² convenience store will feature an in-store bakery and Costa Coffee and Tango Ice Blast machines. Customer parking will be added after the launch.

The store also features a recycling unit for soft plastic.

Co-op Northamptonshire will operate as a franchise and has created 13 jobs.

Store manager Mihir Patel stated: “The purpose-built new store has a great look, and we are delighted to launch to serve and support the community in time for Christmas. We are really looking forward to welcoming members and customers into their new Co-op.”

In November 2023, Co-op opened two stores in Great Bardfield and Calverton, UK, following a major transformation programme.
