British co-operative group Co-op is set to re-open its store on Market Street in Ulverston, Cumbria following a comprehensive seven-week refurbishment programme.
Opening on 5 September 2024, the store will support the local economy by generating 30 jobs across its Market Street and neighbouring Priory Road locations.
The revamped Co-op store will feature an in-store bakery and will offer fresh, chilled and healthy products, meal ideas, essential groceries, food-to-go options, meal deals, Fairtrade items, flowers, newspapers and magazines, chilled beers and award-winning wines.
The Ulverston Co-op also provides parcel collection services through Amazon and DPD and maintains a free ATM.
To support British agriculture, all the store’s fresh and frozen meat and poultry, including those in ready meals and sandwiches, will be 100% sourced from the UK.
The store also features a soft plastic recycling unit, enabling the recycling of items such as crisp packets, bread bags and pet food pouches.
