Kathmandu Holdings has secured NZ$40m ($28.88m) through a private placement of 18.5 million fully paid new ordinary shares.

Based in New Zealand, Kathmandu Holdings is a retailer of apparel and accessories for travel and adventure.

The company will use the proceeds to partly fund the acquisition of Oboz Footwear.

Tausendkind has raised €15m ($18.45m) from IBB Beteiligungsgesellschaft through a venture financing round.

Tausendkind is a German online retailer of children clothing, while Beteiligungsgesellschaft is a venture capital firm.

The company will use the proceeds to fortify its position in the market.

US-based online shopping platform 11 Honore has raised $8m through a Series A venture financing round.

Led by Redpoint Ventures, the funding round involved participation from Forerunner Ventures, Upfront Ventures, Greycroft Partners and Canvas Ventures.

Phlur has received $6m through a Series A financing round led by Symrise, a fragrances and flavorings supplier based in Germany.

Phlur is a US-based manufacturer and online retailer of fragrances.

The firm will use the funding to accelerate its business, introduce new distribution channels and expand its marketing activities.

DSM Fresh Foods, also known as Zappfresh, has raised $3m through a venture funding round.

Based in India, Zappfresh is involved in the selling of raw meat and ready-to-eat meat products online.

The company will use the funds to extend its supply chain and fortify its management team and geographical presence.
