Deals this week: Kroger, Atheon Analytics, Cool Holdings

Kroger has joined forces with Nuro for testing grocery delivery using Nuro’s robots in Scottsdale, Arizona, US.

Kroger has joined forces with Nuro for testing grocery delivery using Nuro’s robots in Scottsdale, Arizona, US.

Based in the US, Kroger is a supermarket retailer with more than 2,779 food stores under different banner names, while Nuro is a manufacturer of driverless delivery vehicles.

Customers can place grocery orders through frysfood.com or the Fry’s Food Stores mobile app, based on the availability of slot.

The self-driving vehicles will deliver the groceries safely and quickly, and customers will be provided with access codes to open the doors of such vehicles in their driveway.

Atheon Analytics has raised £5m ($6.35m) through a funding round led by EmergeVest in exchange for a minority stake.

The firm intends to use the funds to grow its business and apply technology to its SaaS portfolio for the UK grocery supply chain.

The automated analysis tools are created by combining Atheon’s visual analytics expertise with advanced algorithms.

Cool Holdings has entered a partnership with Apple for the purchase of seven OneClick retail stores for $4.3m.

Based in the US, Cool Holdings focuses on premium brands, including OneClick under the Apple Premier Partner (APP), APR and Apple Authorized Reseller Mono-Brand (AAR MB) programmes.

OneClick is an authorised reseller of Apple products and other accessory brands in the US.

Cool Holdings’ 625,077 shares will be issued to the shareholders of Cooltech, as part of the transaction.

Kohl’s has inked a partnership agreement with Authentic Brands Group (ABG) to include Nine West lifestyle brand in its portfolio.

Founded in 1962, Kohl’s is a department store chain in the US, while ABG is a brand development, marketing and entertainment firm.

Kohl’s will launch women’s apparel, footwear, handbags and outerwear under the Nine West banner.

It will offer Nine West shoes, handbags, outerwear and its exclusive apparel through its nationwide stores and Kohls.com from July 2019.
