Independent tires and wheels retailer Discount Tire has purchased the retail tire and automotive maintenance operations of the US-based company Dunn Tire.
Operating a network of 25 locations in western and central New York and Pennsylvania, Dunn Tire’s retail division offers tires, alignments and other tire-related services.

The business also delivers parts and installations for brakes, lube and oil services, front-end repairs and state vehicle inspections.
The acquisition strengthens Discount Tire’s retail footprint in Pennsylvania and marks its entry into New York markets.
The company operates more than 1,150 stores in the US.
Discount Tire chief revenue officer Christian Roe said: “We are excited to connect with Randy and Robert Clark to bring Dunn Tire into our family as we enter the next phase of our company’s growth.

Following the acquisition, Discount Tire will retain all existing retail management and store employees of Dunn Tire.
The acquired 25 locations will continue operating under the Dunn Tire brand name.
Dunn Tire executive Robert Clark, who is also the managing director of retail operations, will manage the brand’s day-to-day retail and service operations.

Dunn Tire’s investors will retain independent ownership of Exxpress Tire Delivery, a wholesale business with a network of five distribution centres in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.
