US-based discounted furniture retailer FFO Home has acquired Kentucky’s home furnishings and bedding retailer Service Furniture and Bedding for an undisclosed price.
According to the deal, FFO Home will acquire 13 stores operating under the Furniture Liquidators banner, and 15 Mattress and More Bedding stores.
The acquisition is reported to be in line with FFO Home’s organic growth strategy and the first since 2016.
FFO Home president and CEO Larry Zigerelli said: “We are incredibly excited to welcome Furniture Liquidators and Mattress and More to the FFO Home family.
“Both of these brands have enjoyed strong leadership positions for many years. Furniture Liquidators provides us strong critical mass in one of our key expansion markets and fits us strategically as a leading value-oriented retailer.
“Mattress and More provide an important platform to accelerate the growth of our vertically integrated Bedding business.”
