US-based manufacturer and retailer of indoor and outdoor furniture Gabriella White has agreed to purchase Stanford Furniture for an undisclosed amount.

Established in 1992, Stanford Furniture offers custom upholstery for the interior design trade and furniture retailers.

Gabriella White currently operates three furniture brands, Summer Classics, Gabby and Wendy Jane.

The deal is expected to allow these ‘brands to expand their retail footprint, and secure US upholstery capabilities’.

Stanford Furniture president and founder Randy Short said: “This is simply an opportunity where everyone wins. Our people will benefit from a better work environment with Gabriella White’s infusion of investment and resources.

“They get to keep doing what they do best, practice their craft to make fine upholstered furniture. We are thrilled to be joining the Gabriella White family, and I am very eager to see what the future brings.”

In addition, the deal is expected to support the growth of Stanford Furniture through various investment opportunities and resources.

It will also allow Gabriella White to expand its real estate portfolio, including a High Point Showroom for Summer Classics, Gabby, and Wendy Jane.

The furniture retailer is planning to update the showroom in order to enhance the shopping experience for customers with new indoor and outdoor design ideas and products.

Gabriella White founder and CEO Bew White said: “When I started the business back in 1978, I was committed to creating jobs in my local community, and years later, our company stands by that commitment.

“We are honoured to welcome Stanford Furniture into the Gabriella White family so we can grow our brand, continue to create jobs and service our incredible customers.”

Gabriella White launched Gabby indoor furniture brand in 2010, and added Wendy Jane handcrafted indoor and outdoor pillows collection to its portfolio in 2018.
