The solution supports various payment options including credit, debit and contactless.

Managers and employees of convenience stores also benefit from the deployment of the system as it helps decrease staffing issues.

Cashiers at stores can also use the Control Console application of the system to monitor and support shoppers during their transactions.

Gilbarco Veeder-Root North America sales and marketing vice president Chris Whitley said: “Convenience stores are retail spaces that require unique designs and applications to meet the needs of business owners and consumers.

“Express Lane is the result of countless hours spent listening to customers’ needs and concerns. This new solution will be a gamechanger for business owners, c-store managers and employees, and ultimately the consumer.”

Express Lane also integrates into other Passport solutions with similar reporting, interface and support mechanisms.

The checkout solution will allow customers using the Express Ordering foodservice solution to scan their ticket at the Express Lane kiosk.

Gilbarco offers various integrated solutions to customers, including forecourt, convenience store, and head office.
