US-based retailing firm Kroger has expanded distribution of its Prep+Pared Meal Kits to four new divisions, including Central, Columbus, Fry’s and Nashville.
These Prep+Pared Meal Kits are currently available at Cincinnati, Louisville and Ralphs.
The retail company noted that they will continue to expand the footprint of Prep+Pared Meal Kits over the next year in order to redefine grocery customer experience in the country.
Kroger senior vice-president of merchandising Robert Clark said: “Prep+Pared Meal Kits are a growing part of Kroger’s Our Brands portfolio. As we focus on redefining the grocery customer experience, as outlined in our Restock Kroger plan, we will rapidly grow the footprint of Prep+Pared Meal Kits in 2018.
“Since introducing Prep+Pared Meal Kits earlier this year, our customers have responded favourably to having a convenient solution that makes dinner easy.”
The ingredients used in its Prep+Pared Meal Kit are said to be fresh, seasonal, prepared and measured to precisely provide customers with only what is needed for each recipe so there is no waste.
The company further added that its meal kits can feed two adults and is retailed between $14 and $20.
Kroger offers meal kits with various recipes such as Bacon and Honey Mustard Glazed Chicken with Broccolini Radish and Wheatberry, Shrimp Scampi with Lemon Garlic Fettuccini, and Carne Asada with Fajita Vegetables and Refried Black Beans.
Prep+Pared Meal Kits are available in nearly 200 stores across the country and can be purchased through ClickList.
