M&As this week: Hanes Australia, Sokolow, Mad Engine

Hanes Australia (formerly Pacific Brands) has entered an agreement to acquire Bras N Things from BB Retail Capital for A$500m ($381.7m).

Hanes Australia (formerly Pacific Brands) has entered an agreement to acquire Bras N Things from BB Retail Capital for A$500m ($381.7m).

Hanes manufacturers and markets clothing, while Bras N Things is an online fashion lingerie retailer.

Fort Street Advisers and Gilbert + Tobin Services are the financial and legal advisers to BBRC respectively for the transaction.

Hanes expects the agreement will enable it to accelerate growth and enhance production.

“The transaction is expected to fortify Sokolow’s presence in domestic and international markets.”

Sokolow has entered an agreement to acquire Gzella Poland for an undisclosed sum.

Sokolow offers meat and meat products and Gzella is a meat processing company.

The transaction is expected to fortify Sokolow’s presence in domestic and international markets.

US-based clothing manufacturer and supplier Mad Engine has completed the acquisition of Mighty Fine.

Mighty Fine designs and markets apparel for men, women, teens and toddlers. It will function as a separate unit and will be integrated with the back-end infrastructure of Mad Engine by the end of this year.

Canadian haircare products provider Marc Anthony Cosmetics has completed the acquisition of Cake Beauty.

The target company is engaged in the production and distribution of skin and haircare products in Canada.

The transaction will enable Marc Anthony to grow its business.
