M&As this week: Music & Arts Center, Spin Master, ConvaTec Group

Music & Arts Center has completed the acquisition of Motter’s Music for an undisclosed sum.

Music & Arts Center has completed the acquisition of Motter’s Music for an undisclosed sum.

Based in the US, Music & Arts Center is an online retailer of musical instruments, while Motter’s Music is a musical instrument store.

The acquisition was completed on 6 March.

Canadian toy and entertainment company Spin Master has completed the acquisition of Enesco subsidiary Gund for $79.1m.

Based in the US, Gund is involved in the production of gift products and soft and huggable plush designs, while Enesco manufactures home and garden decor products.

The transaction will enable the acquirer to expand its footprint in infant toy and speciality gift markets.

“The transaction will strengthen ConvaTec’s position to distribute urinary catheters and fortify its operations in the US.”

ConvaTec Group has completed the acquisition of J&R Medical for an undisclosed sum.

Based in the UK, ConvaTec provides medical products and technologies, while J&R Medical is a medical products distributor based in the US.

J&R will be integrated into ConvaTec’s home distribution unit, upon completion of the transaction.

The transaction will strengthen ConvaTec’s position to distribute urinary catheters and fortify its operations in the US.

Casino Guichard-Perrachon, formerly known as Groupe Casino, has completed the acquisition of remaining outstanding shares in RelevanC from RedPill for an undisclosed sum.

Based in France, Casino owns and operates retail stores, while RelevanC is a platform that provides marketing solutions to advertisers.

RelevanC will operate as a subsidiary of Groupe Casino, upon completion of the transaction.

The transaction will enable Casino Group to grow its business.

Bell Media has completed the acquisition of Carted for an undisclosed sum.

Based in the US, Bell Media is a digital marketing agency, while Carted provides online shopping services.

The acquisition will enable Bell Media to expand its services in the grocery industry.
