American supercentre chain Meijer has opened a new Woodward Corner Market in Royal Oak, Michigan, US.
The 41,000ft² open and airy concept store is Meijer’s first small format in Metro Detroit and features a 25ft ceilings and pedestrian-friendly design. It also has six garage-style doors.
Operated by hypermarket chain Meijer, Woodward Corner Market is a neighbourhood grocery store offering fresh food to customers in a market-like setting.
The grocery store offers a mix of bakery items, fresh meat and deli offerings at affordable prices.
The store also features Meijer and national brand products, as well as 2,000 local, artisan items, such as Daily Dozen Doughnuts, New York Bagel and Bath Savvy Soaps.
The Great Lakes Coffee shop, which is housed inside the market, offers nitro brews and an extensive beer, wine and liquor counter.
