Canada-based legal cannabis company National Access Cannabis (NAC) has debuted its new store brand, Meta Cannabis Supply in the country.
Meta Cannabis Supply will open and operate cannabis retail locations in select provinces and an online store on its website.
The new brand will expand NAC’s existing portfolio of 11 coast-to-coast medical clinics and 40 pharmacies with the addition of recreational cannabis dispensaries.
NAC will initially establish recreational cannabis dispensaries across Western Canada, followed by additional provinces where legally permissible.
Meta has also submitted applications for licenses in metropolitan areas and rural areas for the new stores.
To establish new retail locations, the company will adopt a new model involving consumer education, in-store technology, merchandising and POS.
Meta retail location along with its online store will offer cannabis products, including products supplied by CannaRoyalty and Tilray.
NAC CEO Mark Goliger said: “Leveraging our deep knowledge of safety, security and harm reduction from our existing national network of medical cannabis clinics, NAC developed the Meta brand to appeal to health-conscious Canadians who embrace the benefits of quality cannabis products.
“With strong First Nations and Licensed Producer relationships in addition to our exciting strategic alliance with Second Cup in prime retail locations, NAC is set to develop a broad retail network across Western Canada.
“Meta will provide our recreational customers with exceptional in store experiences in an environment where education and access to quality products are our top priorities.”
In addition, Meta recreational cannabis dispensaries will be developed and operated under a recently signed strategic alliance with Canadian speciality coffee retailer, The Second Cup.
