Amazon has expanded its Home Services initiative into 20 new metropolitan areas across the US, increasing the number of locations offering this service to 50.
The new areas include Indianapolis, Las Vegas, San Antonio, Ann Arbor, Cleveland, Milwaukee, Boulder and Raleigh.
Amazon Home Services general manager Nish Lathia said: “We’re thrilled to be offering more Amazon customers access to our network of trusted pros throughout the US.
"Today, customers can search over 1,200 unique services from pros in over 60 professions, from house cleaning, to lawn work and beyond.
"The availability of Home Services in more cities means that more customers can quickly find and schedule the help they need around the house heading into the holiday season.”
Launched last year, Amazon Home Services provides upfront pricing on hundreds of helpful services. Local service providers can choose the service and area they would like to operate.
Customers buying items on Amazon that entail assembly or installation can opt for the service as a part of their checkout process. Customers can also read reviews on the website and schedule services directly, which are supported by Amazon customer service.
