US-based home furnishings services and solutions provider Amber Engine has announced an integration with PROFITsystems, a retail management system provider.
With this integration, retailers deploying the Amber Engine for Retailers portal and PROFITsystems' RETAILvantage inventory and point-of-sale (POS) management software will be able to simplify their product content management.
Amber Engine's integration with RETAILvantage will also lead to a cost-saving alternative compared to a traditionally manual approach.
Through a single digital exchange, product content from the home furnishings manufacturers that team up with Amber Engine will be exported to a retailer's PROFITsystems POS system.
These exports can be tailored according to a retailer's particular PROFITsystems account setup, thereby reducing the time the retailer invests in manual data processing to support its key operations.

“Not only can retailers using our platform receive content from manufacturers in a more accurate and consistent way, they can now ensure the integrity of that data as it's transferred to their core business systems.

According to a study conducted by home furnishings industry associations and Amber Engine, 42% of retailers believe that the ability to update their current product data is a major challenge for creating or bolstering their online presence.
Amber Engine expects its integration with PROFITsystems to be a strategic alignment with home furnishings service partners.
