Online printer ink retailer C-Connect has launched Ippin, an online shopping mall specialising in direct sales and distribution of Japanese products to overseas markets.

Ippin sells Japan-made products that customers can purchase directly from 18 countries.

It primarily targets China and South East Asian countries in categories such as foods, fashion items, cosmetics and electric appliances.

Countries such as China, Singapore and Malaysia have their own independent websites with optimised recommended item rankings and payment methods to create user-friendly service.

Ippin currently has seven stores and this number is expected to reach 20 by the end of July, and 200 at the end of this year.

It provides shipping to 18 countries and accepts 16 currencies, as well as offers a variety of payment methods such as credit cards, Alipay and Paypal to provide a localised service.
