Performance luxury apparel retailer Canada Goose is planning to open three additional retail stores later this year to continue its global expansion strategy.

The stores are expected to come up in Boston, US; Calgary, Canada; and Tokyo, Japan.

Canada Goose president and CEO Dani Reiss said: “Opening these new stores is another key part of this new chapter in our 60-year history.

“Having a flagship store in Tokyo is particularly exciting as Japan continues to be one of our strongest growing markets and we can now better answer the call of our Asian customers by giving them an opportunity to engage with our brand, unfiltered.”

To be located in the Sendagaya neighbourhood, the upcoming 3,100ft² store in Tokyo will be operated by the company’s distribution partner.

The proposed store in Boston will be located in the Prudential Center, which contains more than 75 speciality stores, while the Calgary store is set to become the company’s second store in Canada.
