The hypermarket is located at Hub Shopping Mall in the Karen suburb, reported Capitalfm.co.ke.
Spread across 5,000m² of retail space, this hypermarket will sell more than 30,000 items, including groceries, electronics, fresh produce, general merchandise and fresh bakery.
With the opening of the hypermarket, the Hub Karen Mall now features 57 international and local brands.
The hypermarket will be operated by Majid Al Futtaim Group, Carrefour’s Dubai-based franchise holder.

"We want to meet the needs of our customers who are in pursuit of a shopping experience that will leave them happy and coming back for more.
"We are also pleased to see the benefits of Carrefour’s presence in Kenya through job creation and support for local producers. "
Around 200 people have been employed at the hypermarket. Carrefour Kenya intends to have a total of 500 employees by the end of this year.
