Checkpoint Systems has announced the deployment of its electronic article surveillance (EAS) pedestals and deactivation systems at 2,800 Dollar General stores in North America.
Checkpoint Systems is an EAS and radio frequency identification device (RFID) solutions supplier for the retail sector, while Dollar General is a discount retailer.

Both the companies involved in the deal are based in the US.
Maplebear Inc has raised $400m through its Instacart unit in a Series D funding round led by Sequoia Capital.
Other participating investors in the funding round were Andreessen Horowitz, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Y Combinator LLC, Dragoneer Investment Group LLC, Canaan Partners and Khosla Ventures LLC.
