Retail point-of-sale (POS) technology provider Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is set to provide wall-to-wall client services and equipment to US fashion retailer Forever 21’s corporate stores in 16 countries.
Under the terms of the agreement, Toshiba will provide POS systems, peripherals, and OEM front and back office retail store technology at Forever 21.
Toshiba's TCx 300 systems and peripherals will be procured as part of the deal, in addition to the support and standardisation of other store technology, including networking equipment.
Forever 21 president Alex Ok said: “Toshiba understood our desire to maximise the value of our retail investment and more importantly, they are delivering expert staff to standardise and manage all of the various store technology and services across our corporate stores.
“We selected Toshiba as our end-to-end global provider with the goal to reduce our complexity and costs, so our store teams can continue their focus on meeting the needs of our customers.”
Toshiba will also offer a dedicated project management office and team of experts to service helpdesk requests for Toshiba POS hardware and all other OEM retail store equipment.
The company will also manage the deployment of all retail store equipment, including new TCx 300 POS systems and store servers, registers, displays and SureMark printers in current and new corporate stores.
Toshiba will also provide maintenance services, asset management services and support.
Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions North America executive director and general manager Eugene Shvartsman said: "Our goal is to leverage the exceptional retail talent and smart technologies that Toshiba has in place to provide Forever 21 with the very highest level of availability and performance.”
Forever 21 operates more than 830 stores worldwide.
