India-based gold and diamond jewellery retailer Joyalukkas is set to open its second store in Malaysia.

To open on 25 June, the store will open at Lulu Hypermarket & Department Store in Kuala Lumpur.

Its first outlet opened in March 2014 and is located at Jalan Banus in the Malaysian capital.

The latest launch is part of the brand’s strategy to rapidly expand this year in India, Middle East, South East Asia and two new countries, including the US.

"In the next two months, we have three showroom openings in Chicago, New Jersey and Houston."

Earlier last month, Joyalukkas Group chairman and managing director Joy Alukkas was quoted by Khaleejtimes.com as saying: "We plan to open seven showrooms in the US. In the next two months, we have three showroom openings in Chicago, New Jersey and Houston. We will open two more showrooms in Saudi Arabia, one in Singapore and another outlet in Malaysia."

This month, the retailer boosted its presence in Saudi Arabia with the opening of a new outlet, which is located in King Faisal Street, Dammam.

The retailer currently has more than 120 outlets spread across 11 countries, including India, London, Singapore, UAE, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait and Qatar.

It has more ten million customers worldwide and provides more than a million jewellry options at each of its outlets.
