Spanish fashion retailer Inditex has firmed up plans to launch its Stradivarius women’s clothing business in London.

Stradivarius is a clothing brand, aimed at women aged 20 to 35, is presently operating in 60 countries worldwide. In 2013, its sales amounted $1bn.

This will be the first new brand to be launched in London after six years, reports standard.co.uk.

The first Stradivarius store, under the plan, will be opened this year at Westfield Stratford.

Inditex principally designs, manufactures, distributes and retails apparels for men, women and children globally.

Its product portfolio includes apparel, footwear, accessories and household textile products.

The company owns and operates retail stores under various formats including Bershka, Oysho, Zara Home and Uterque.

Apart from physical stores, the company sells its merchandize through e-commerce websites.

In FY2013, the chain’s net sales grew to €16.724bn from €15.946bn in the prior year.
