American hamburger chain Johnny Rockets, through its franchise partner Hamdan International, has opened its first of the ten proposed Johnny Rockets restaurants in Pakistan in the city of Karachi.

The Dolmen Mall restaurant will be followed by a second outlet at Z Block DHA Lahore and third one at Centaurus shopping mall in Islamabad, which are scheduled for opening by the end of 2014, and in January 2014, respectively.

Both the Dolmen Mall and Z Block outlets will carry a menu that will feature all-American favourite dishes including made-to-order burgers, American fries, sandwiches and hand-spun shakes.

With a floor space of 3,135ft², the restaurant at Dolmen Mall is located near the sea, offering guests with sea views from the restaurant.

Hamdan International CEO Monavar K Ahmad said the restaurant is known for its casual ambiance, upbeat music and passion for guest engagement, which should be very well-received by their family-focused culture.

The company plans to open the remaining seven outlets across the country in the next nine years.

Johnny Rockets CEO John Fuller said Pakistan represents an important foothold for them into the extremely viable South Asia market.
