US-based lighting retailer Lamps Plus intends to open its new store at The Arboretum, an open-air marketplace in Austin, Texas, US, later this year.
It will be the 39th store in the country and third in Texas. The other two Lamps Plus stores are located at Plano and Arlington.

The lighting retail company said that the Austin location will offer a new format that will showcase lighting fixtures in a more open space.
The new store will also focus on the company’s continuing expansion into home furnishings and accessories, and show how those products complement its renowned lighting fixtures.
Lamps Plus store operations senior vice president Terre Wellington said: “Austin has a highly desirable population based on economic, artistic, educational and trend-setting reasons.
“Since our store growth strategy is extremely selective and measured, we were looking for a vibrant city to include our highly successful retail store business and Austin fits our strict criteria.

Construction works for the future Lamps Plus store location is already underway.
