US-based LynnCo Supply Chain Solutions has signed an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partnership to use LLamasoft’s supply chain design technology to improve the former’s distribution networks.

The deployment of LLamasoft's supply chain modelling technology is expected to enable LynnCo to model, analyse, optimise, as well as simulate a client’s enterprise supply chain network in a visual and efficient manner.

LynnCo professional services and engineering vice-president Ed Gort said: “LynnCo’s clients typically have supply chain vulnerabilities around services and costs that require a consultative approach and tailor-designed solutions.

LynnCo noted that in the wake of the disruptions caused to the retail industry by Amazon, technology will play a key role in all spheres of the shopping experience both in-store and online.
