Liverpool is an exclusive fashion clothing store based in and named after the UK city.

Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail has taken over the franchise rights worth $26m for Forever 21.

The deal grants Aditya Birla franchise rights for the US brand in India.

A fashion apparel store for women, Forever 21 currently has 12 stores in India under a joint venture with Diana Brands, a wholly owned subsidiary of DLF Brands.

"The purchase will help RCG to further expand its presence and distribution rights."

The brand is also available on e-commerce website Myntra.

Australian footwear company RCG has entered a $105m retail acquisition with another Australian niche footwear company Hype DC, to take over the latter company’s retailing division.

Expected to be completed by August, the purchase will help RCG to further expand its presence and distribution rights.
