Retailer Murray's Cheese has opened its 350th store in Bloomington, Indiana, US, through its collaboration with Kroger.
Founded in 1940, Murray's Cheese offers cheese, meat and speciality food items to Kroger, including Fred Meyer, King Soopers, Ralph's and QFC, in more than 30 states.
Murray's owner and president Rob Kaufelt said: "In 2008, we pioneered a store-within-a-store concept at a handful of Kroger stores.
"Between 2008 and 2012, we opened 38 stores, and in 2016, we opened nearly 100. This partnership has exceeded our wildest expectations."
Murray's Cheese shops in Kroger stores provide hundreds of cheeses, charcuterie, olives, crackers and speciality food items. It employs thousands of certified cheese professionals across its relationship with Kroger.
Kroger merchandising senior vice-president Robert Clark said: "We continue to see high demand and great buzz in new communities as the shops come to town."
Kroger Family of Companies operates 2,796 retail food stores, 2,253 pharmacies, 787 convenience stores, 324 fine jewelry stores, 1,439 supermarket fuel centres and 38 food production plants in the US.
