US-based grocery and body care retailer Natural Grocers is set to open a new store in Vancouver, Washington.

Natural Grocers operates 127 stores across 19 states and employs 3,000 people.

The new 15,000ft² store will open next month and is expected to create 18 job opportunities.

"The crew we're putting in place in Vancouver will be the experts in their field."

The company intends to hire department managers, cashiers and a nutritional health coach.

Natural Grocers co-president Kemper Isely said: "Commitment to our employees has always been a top priority, it is one of the founding principles on which we base our business practices.

"We cannot properly serve our customers without our talented staff and nutrition experts.
