Fashion speciality retailer Nordstrom is planning to open two new Nordstrom Racks in Norridge, Illinois, and downtown Los Angeles, California, US.

Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of Nordstrom, which offers a wide range of clothing, accessories and shoes at discounted prices.

"Both the stores are expected to open later this year."

Spread over 33,000ft², the Illinois Rack store will be owned and operated by Harlem Irving Companies, while Brookfield Property Partners will own and manage the 27,000² Rack store in California.

Both the stores are expected to open later this year.

The Norridge store will be the 16th Rack store in Chicagoland following the announcement of opening of new locations at Kildeer in Illinois, and at Schererville in Indiana, this year, and at Vernon Hills in Illinois, next year.

The company also operates four full-line stores in the greater Chicago area, including the downtown flagship store on Michigan Avenue.

The Los Angeles store will be the 12th Nordstrom Rack the area, in addition to the eight full line stores operated by the company in Los Angeles.

Nordstrom currently operates 349 stores in 40 states, and also offers its products online.
