Wal-Mart subsidiary Sam’s Club is set to open its Wake Forest outlet in North Carolina, US.
To open on 1 September, the outlet is located at 11460 Royal Cotton Road.
Sam’s Club manager Buffy Bullard said: “We are also looking forward to our members discovering the convenience of our new Scan & Go shopping app and our enhanced Club Pickup ordering service.”
The outlet will be the first in the Triangle area to offer Scan & Go shopping mobile app.
This app optimises the checkout process for members as they can scan the UPC codes on items before loading into carts. Once consumers have completed their shopping and are ready to check out, they can pay directly on their phone from anywhere in the club and bypass the checkout line.
This service will be extended to other clubs in the Triangle area later this year.
