Simon Property Group has announced plans to expand its Allen Premium Outlets in North Texas, US.

The plan to expand the shopping centre includes addition of new space to accommodate 30 more stores, in addition to the acquisition of 22 adjoining acres to support future inclusion of restaurants and hotels.

The company stated that it will initially use the new land to add 1,300 new parking spaces for the shopping centre, which is located near Neiman Marcus Last Call.

The plan to expand the property is scheduled to complete next year.

Simon Premium Outlets COO Mark Silvestri said: "Allen Premium Outlets is a popular destination for the greater Dallas/Ft Worth metroplex’s residents and visitors alike, with a collection of over 100 name-brand stores offering an everyday savings of 25% to 65%."

Simon will also renovate the centre to include amenities such as a new play area and Wi-Fi services.

Allen Premium Outlets presently has outlets such as Michael Kors, Nike Factory Store, Under Armour among others.

Simon recently had broken ground on Norfolk Premium Outlets in Norfolk, Virginia.

Norfolk Premium Outlets will accommodate around 85 retailers.
