Omnichannel fashion retailer Soft Surroundings has deployed JDA Enterprise Planning and JDA Allocation solutions to automate its spreadsheet-based merchandise planning processes.
Soft Surroundings noted that the solutions will enable it to deliver customer-centric assortments and maximised profitability.
Traditionally using manual spreadsheet-based planning, the company realised the need to overhaul the manual process to scale higher growth and boost sales across all channels.
Soft Surroundings operations senior vice-president Laura Barrett said: “We have experienced significant growth in our stores, and were fast finding that our traditional spreadsheet-based approach did not give us the real-time view into store performance, so we were operating more on gut feel, and needed much more visibility into how our customers shop and what they purchase.
“We selected JDA Enterprise Planning and JDA Allocation to take us to the next level of omnichannel retail planning, giving us the ability to plan while optimising inventory and maximising profitability.”

According to the woman’s lifestyle retailer, the solutions will streamline the distribution of merchandise within the correct channel or location, paving the way for improved inventory levels and customer satisfaction, as well as reduced out-of-stocks.
