US-based Southeastern Grocers has simultaneously opened 73 new Harveys Supermarkets in various locations across the country.

The owner of retail units such as BI-LO, Fresco y Más, Harveys and Winn-Dixie, Southeastern Grocers claimed that the new stores will cater to the needs of local communities with a focus on great value and quality food.

Southeastern Grocers is also offering discounts on more than 3,000 items at the Harveys Supermarkets through various deals.

“Customers shopping at our new Harveys Supermarket will now find thousands of great low prices and significant savings."

Southeastern Grocers president and chief executive officer Ian McLeod said: “For more than 90 years, Harveys Supermarket has been the local grocer that customers can count on for all their grocery needs.

The new stores provide several additional deals such as Big Pack, Big Value and Pick 5 for meat selection and a Harveys Rewards + Plenti card through which customers can earn reward points.

The stores also feature fresh produce from more than 90 local farmers, and health and beauty care sections with over 250 products.
