Spar opens hypermarket in Vienna

Spar has opened its new Interspar Hypermarket in Vienna, which is spread over three levels.

Spar has opened its new Interspar Hypermarket in Vienna, which is spread over three levels.

This outlet also incorporates the Interspar first take-away in Austria.

The hypermarket is located in the district of Floridsdorf, and has been rebuilt after eight months of reconstruction.

Interspar Austria managing director Markus Kaser said: “This is the new heart of Floridsdorf.

"The facade is a real eye catcher and the design of the open spaces inside was inspired by the Guggenheim museum in New York.

“As for the range, we offer customers a unique variety and choice of products, ensuring that we cater for all needs.

"In the Interspar take-away section, customers can grab freshly prepared food for on the go, and in the Interspar restaurant, they can enjoy delicious meals from dawn to dusk.

Interspar features a restaurant and a flagship store for vegetarians and vegans.

Additionally, the hypermarket features Spar Own Brand snacks, and offers a large selection of grab-and-go food products.

The outlet has put special focus on products made in Vienna and the surrounding areas. The store stocks 220 regional products from 29 local producers.
