UK-based retailer Tesco is set to extend its Same Day Click and Collect service, which will allow customers to collect their online groceries more quickly.
The service allows customers to book a two-hour window to collect their groceries from midday onwards, after ordering an unlimited number of items before 9am.
Tesco online managing director Adrian Letts said: “More customers than ever are choosing to use our grocery Click and Collect service which is we’ve decided to introduce a new same day collection slot.
“We offer a range of ways to shop with Tesco and Click and Collect means customers can choose to pick up their shopping at a time and location that suits them, without having to hit the aisles themselves.”
The new slot is in addition to the existing offer, where customers can order by 1pm to pick up from 4pm. It also gives more choice to Tesco’s online customers regarding how and when they receive their groceries.
Tesco's Same Day Click and Collect services have been planned to be made available in more than 300 locations across the UK.
The retailer noted that customers are increasingly opting Click and Collect as a quick and convenient way to get their groceries, with a 20% rise in the number of customers using it last year.
Tesco’s latest changes are set to further improve its online grocery service options open to customers.
