By GlobalDataThe latest move is consistent with Valassis’ strategy to strengthen its intelligent media delivery offerings and expand its presence in local markets across the country.
In 2015, the company acquired Clipper and magazine publication Printed Deals.
Valassis chief operating officer Wayne Powers said: “SI View strengthens our position in the Staten Island market and is a natural fit with our existing portfolio.
“This addition will enable us to help more small and medium-sized businesses in the market extend unmatched print and digital savings opportunities to consumers.”
Last month, the company bought digital marketing technology company MaxPoint Interactive for around $95m in an attempt to improve its targeting, personalisation and measurement capabilities.
The acquisition is also expected to ensure improved display advertising and in-store campaign solutions for advertising clients.
Valassis Local Solutions president Steve Hauber said: “SI View affords us a great opportunity to expand our advertiser relationships and add great content to our existing presence in the Staten Island market.
“Merchants in and around Staten Island will have the opportunity to cost-effectively reach and engage even more consumers every day.”
Valassis’ parent company Harland Clarke Holdings acquired digital savings platform RetailMeNot to connect retailers and consumers through digital, mobile and print promotions.
