Discount supermarket company WinCo Foods is planning to expand its retail network with the launch of a new store in Garland, Texas.
The 85,000ft2 store, which is the company’s sixth store to open in the region, will initially employ close to 150 people.
When opened on 27 August, the proposed store will feature WinCo’s ‘Wall of Values’ at the entry, which showcases a wide variety of high volume products with good pricing.
Its perimeter departments include fresh produce, bulk foods, meat, deli, seafood, and bakery departments, while bulk foods department will comprise 700 items, including many natural food products, some organics, snacks, candies, cereals, flours, pastas, spices and more.
WinCo Foods Garland store manager Brandon McCain said: "as employee owners, all of us here at WinCo look forward to giving our Garland neighbors an exciting new shopping option that provides great pricing and a terrific customer experience."
Founded in 1967, WinCo Foods employs over 15,000 people across its 102 stores and five distribution centers in the states of Washington, Idaho, Nevada, California, Oregon, Arizona, Utah and Texas.
