Convenience store chain Yesway has enhanced its footprint with the acquisition of 35 Wes-T-Go and Chillerz outlets in Abilene, Texas, US.

The new locations expand the firm’s portfolio of 38 outlets, which are set to open in Iowa and Kansas. The convenience store chain aims to open more than 100 stores by the end of second quarter of this year.

Yesway chairman and chief executive officer Thomas Nicholas Trkla said: “At Yesway, we're committed to providing our customers with a terrific shopping experience.

During the next several years, the firm intends to acquire, improve and rebrand up to 500 convenience stores in select US regions.

In March, Yesway acquired seven other convenience stores in Midwest region, as part of its ongoing expansion.

The acquisition included five Pic Quik stores in Hutchinson, Kansas; one Krueger location in Grimes. and one Pronto Market location in Kanawha.
