Brazil-based footwear retailer Paquetá has implemented Oracle Retail Clearance Optimisation Engine to increase profits and streamline inventory planning.
The new solution joins the retailer’s existing planning portfolio of Oracle Retail implementations, including Merchandise Financial Planning, Assortment Planning and Warehouse Management System.
Oracle Retail Planning suite allows the footwear retailer to have a single view of inventory across 400,000 SKUs, 52 categories, 132 subcategories and four store formats.
Leveraging the solution, the company can optimise promotions and assortment strategies through machine learning, and increase margin improvements.
Paquetá supply chain vice-president Eduardo Smaniotto said: “Driving and converting foot traffic requires fresh assortments, but that must be balanced very carefully when your customers have less disposable income.
“We cannot afford to have a customer disappointed due to lack of inventory and we also cannot hold excess inventory or take severe markdowns.
