Ralphs Grocery Company has rolled out its home delivery service at selected locations in southern California, US, allowing customers to receive groceries at home.
The initiative is being implemented through a partnership with on-demand retail delivery service Instacart.
Ralphs Grocery Company president Valerie Jabbar said: “We strive to provide our customers with the best shopping experience and believe that offering home delivery adds a new convenience when shopping at Ralphs.
“Our customers are busier than ever. Providing home delivery is another way Ralphs is giving our customers the shopping experience that they desire.”
The company also delivers items through its ClickList store locations.
Ralphs Grocery Company currently offers home delivery at two supermarket locations, including Downtown Los Angeles located at 645 West 9th Street in Los Angeles and Irvine-Woodbury at 6300 Irvine Boulevard in Irvine.
The retailer also plans to expand the service to 38 additional locations in Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange County, Pasadena, the San Fernando Valley, Thousand Oaks and Los Angeles County’s South Bay beach communities by the end of this month.
To avail the service, customers need to place their orders for home delivery through the Ralphs Grocery Company website.
The platform offers 40,000 products, including perishables, which are categorised and sorted to allow easy viewing and selection for shoppers.
Once the customer selects their products, they choose a preferred delivery time.
The items will then be picked up by an Instacart shopper, who delivers the order within the selected one-hour window.
Founded in 1873, Ralphs currently operates 191 supermarkets.
